[Fanfic] Other Wybie's Story - 11

-  An Other Story –
~ Chapter 11 ~
~
We were caught.
I knew I was dying
I was hideous – and yet –
She tried to save me.
~

Coraline showed no resistance as Other Wybie ran her out of the corridor, she didn’t make a sound.

Other Wybie stopped her once they got to the bug room, the room with the little door.
The then ran over to the corner of the room where the bug-dresser was blocking the little door.

“Help me move it.” Other Wybie’s button eyes seemed to say.
Coraline nodded.

The two struggled a bit while trying to move it at first, but then they finally were able to move it out of the way. They opened the door.

“Coraline?” the Other Mother’s voice called from outside the corridor.

“Wybie, we have to get out, now!” Coraline whispered urgently.

“Coraline, I can’t go…” Other Wybie’s eyes seemed to say sadly. His head went down.

“Wybie, come on! If you stay here, she’ll hurt you again –!’ Coraline whispered urgently again. She didn’t want to leave him behind after seeing what the beldam had done to him.

“Coraline, is that you? Mother’s here, where are you?” the Other Mother said once again.

“Coraline, look, alright, I can’t come! I’m not real!” Other Wybie thought.
He then picked up his right hand and pulled off his glove.

He then sadly blew the dust that had once been his right hand away.

Coraline gasped.

“Wybie…” Coraline started to say.

“Coraline, just go!” Other Wybie and pushed her into the door.

“Wybie – wait!” Coraline started to say, but then both she and Other Wybie firmly shut the door.
“Phew. She’s gone.” Other Wybie thought.

He then gave a sigh of relief, and heard banging sounds from the door.

“Oh no, Coraline, Run!” he thought.

Meanwhile, inside the tunnel, Coraline was crawling for her life, the tunnel was shaking and shuddering and it felt as if it would collapse at any given moment.

She tried not thinking of what just happened, and who she just left behind.

“Wybie... I mean the Other Wybie, stay safe. “She thought as she hurried out of the tunnel and rolled back into her world.

Other Wybie’s eyes started in horror at the Beldam’s face before him.

After the rumbling noises had stopped coming form the tunnel, Other Wybie knew that Coraline had gotten home. He was sad, but he was ashamed that he had been so selfish. He had also been angry at the beldam, at her ruthless behavior, but –
He was truly happy for the first time in his life.

But then these things had happened after the she was out –

“Where is she you little wretch, did you save her?!? I thought I made you forget all about her! You’ll surely die NOW!” the beldam screamed.

“Yeah, I saved her; I’m not going to let you kill her!” Other Wybie’s eyes screamed.

He then tried to jump on her and grab her neck.
He managed to jab the beldam’s neck and body several times before she shook him off.

He just kept trying and trying again. His jacket began to get torn and he had sand wounds pouring from his arms.  

“Coraline... Looks like I finally did something not for myself.” He thought during his battle.

And now – the Beldam had him up on the wall, her claw-like nails grasped around his neck.

“Ugh...” Other Wybie tried to move. Fire was burning in his button eyes. He was filled with anger, and an unnatural strength.

“Still you defy me you wretched doll, don’t you realize the more you struggle, the more painful your death will be!? Maybe I’ll just turn you into a monster to hurt Coraline this time!” the Beldam’s voice was like screeching metal, and she laughed wickedly after she had said this.

“No way in are you going to do that! You can’t make me ever hurt her!” Other Wybie thought.

With his left hand he tried to force the Beldam’s hands off of him, but even with his newfound strength, the hands would not budge.

“Not so easy with one hand, is it?!” the Beldam whispered ever so sweetly in his ear.

“I still got her away from you! You’ve lost! She’s safe, and she knows the truth of this world now! She won’t come back.” Other Wybie thought, and he smiled an angry grin.

The Beldam looked at him in disgust.

“No, you’ve only changed the rules, and made me lose some strength... I’ll get her back, just you watch! Or maybe you won’t… after all, seeing your clothes will terrify her…” the Beldam said evilly.

“What, what do you have in mind…?!” Other Wybie thought with a hint of fear. He didn’t show any fear in his eyes though.

“Oh you’ll see little doll –
YOU SHALL SEE.” The Beldam yelled.

And then she knocked him out. Other Wybie’s world faded to black.
